Seeking part-time CRM consultant with deep experience working with private equity and/or venture capital funds--could grow to full-time--prefer NY location
Navon Partners is a NY-based advisor to private equity and venture capital funds with a blue-chip client list (http://www.navonpartners.com/clients/). We help private equity funds to source investments in private companies. We have a unique business model, a combination of data mining, investment banking, private equity, and investment research.
Our clients regularly ask us to advise them on CRM-related issues, so we are seeking additional experts in this field. We prefer candidates in the New York area but are open to people working virtually. Some of the work will require occasional travel to client sites (probably <10% of your time).
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Write consulting proposals and help win business.
+ Analyze the needs of a private equity fund, typically with no existing CRM system beyond Outlook.
+ Recommend and implement new CRM system. Typical functionality of a CRM installation includes integration into firm mailing list, feeds into deal-tracking system, and hooks into APIs of major online networks (LinkedIn, etc.)
+ Collect existing relationship data, standardize, sanitize, and update. Implement systems to keep data current (e.g., periodic calling by secretarial staff).
+ Guide organization on how to ensure use and compliance with the new system.
+ Train client team members on new CRM system.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
+ Ideally, you have experience with all of the major CRM systems (especially Saleslogix/Act, Salesforce) so that you can recommend neutrally the best CRM solution for a given client.
+ Over 5 years management experience designing and installing CRM solutions.
+ Use of formal and agile development methodologies
+ Highly motivated self-starter who has a track record of continuous self-improvement, high achievement, and aggressiveness.
+ Strong analytical skills. High attention to detail.
+ Have managed development teams over time, with hiring and firing responsibilities.
+ Experience in financial services, preferably in working with private equity and venture capital funds

+ Belief in the Edward Tufte school of communication.
+ Strong writing experience. Value a high GPA in writing-dependent courses.
+ Familiarity with startup environment
