We work with clients who are seeking new investing opportunities in three main ways. We have listed them below in descending order of attention and focus you will receive:
1) Retained deal search. You pay us a retainer to systematically seek out investing opportunities in a designated industry, geography, size range, and preferred deal structure. The retainer is an advance payment on our success fee, if any, should you invest in one of the opportunities we introduce to you.
2) Opportunistic. As we come across transactions that fit your profile, we'll send them to you. At that time, we'll also ask you to sign an agreement confirming that you'll pay us a success fee if you invest in any opportunity we introduce to you.
3) Consulting. We analyze your existing deal origination processes; benchmark them against the competition; and work with you to improve those processes. We typically start these engagements with a training and open dialogue, using content similar to the sanitized, shortened slide presentations posted here.
